Wellspring

Wellspring is an innovative network of centres that has been providing high-quality cancer support, education and coping skills to a growing number of individuals, family members and professional caregivers in Canada since 1992.

Project Scope

SeeThrough Web was retained by Wellspring to help develop a new website that would allow visitors to view the Wellspring videos (public service announcements); streamline the online donation process; and provide 'micro sites' that would allow each individual centre to offer and maintain it's own site content, including text, images, program calendars and descriptions, donations, and more.

Other functionality desired and implemented to improve site visibility included re-sizable fonts, printer friendly pages, an internal site search engine, and 'email this page to a friend' functionality.

With the design provided by Wellspring's own graphics department, SeeThrough Web built the site using the TYPO3 Content Management System.  Administrators from the individual Wellspring centres have the ability to log in and update their own content on the website, without seeing or being able to access any other centres content.

Launched in February 2008, the final site contains over 2400 web pages, 12 independent events calendars, 5 separate photo galleries, and over 40,000 cross links.

"SeeThrough Web worked closely with Wellspring to develop our new website.  As our network of centres has grown our online needs grew to require a dynamic site that would allow us to showcase photos from our fundraising events, our public service annoucement videos, each centre's program calendar, and more.  The TYPO3 solution that SeeThrough Web has delivered gives our centres the power and control they need to communicate with site visitors and program participants about information specific to their location."
